First Layer Temps?

Just coming back to test Patio.
Are we still unable to set first layer temps vs. the rest of a print?
The temperature section is still greyed out for model a group levels.

Unfortunately yes, we don’t have a UI for handling temperature changes on the first layer. You can use the layer change script (with an if statement) to get the same effect, but it’s a little messy. Something like this should work:

{% if state/Z == 10.0 %}
M104 S220 ; lower
{% endif %}

Some folks like to print the first layer of their print a little hotter than the rest. This usually makes filament stick better to the build plate, meaning you don’t have to get your bed leveling 100% perfect, or can print slightly faster than you might normally have to on the first layer.

After the first layer its best to go back to your normal printing temperature so you don’t get extra oozing of your filament, which can come out as blobs or stringing.
